April 10, 2019 – VDI migration and cloud management provider itopia has announced integration with Google Cloud’s Managed Service for Microsoft Active Directory, and powerful new Remote Desktop collection and orchestration capabilities.

Google Cloud’s continuous work in enterprise computing requires a willingness to make legacy systems simple and ready for enterprises of any size.To this end, Google Cloud introduced Managed Service for Microsoft Active Directory (AD). itopia, a leader in enterprise VDI migration, automation, and lifecycle management for Google Cloud, has announced an integration with Google Cloud’s new service and its flagship software itopia CAS. The integration will enable IT and security to automate the common tasks around AD domain controllers through “single-click” deployments in the CAS portal.

In addition, itopia announced new RDS orchestration for server collections, giving IT more granular control over management and security of Google Cloud-based desktop and application environments. The new capability enables enterprise IT to create multiple pools of RD Session Hosts with customized VM images, and security and resource configurations for specific use cases, departments and geographic locations. The new feature also enables MSPs to isolate/separate session host workloads for their clients for added security and best practices.

“As an Enterprise Managed Services Provider, we must take great precaution with our customers’ data and systems,” said Frank Merino, VP of Professional Services, Forthright Technology Partners. “Leveraging itopia’s CAS solution to limit the scope of access across customer environments gives both customers and Forthright peace of mind when it comes to least privileges and best practices. Pushing security and operations aside – with itopia – we have been able to help our clients reduce cost significantly on GCP spend, which is a conversation every customer loves to have.”

“As we strengthen our strategic technology relationship with Google Cloud, we are also listening closely to feedback from our customers,” said Ubaldo Don, Co-founder and CTO, itopia. “These new CAS features that simplify management, reduce complexity and costs, and give IT more control over their Google Cloud-based desktop environments are a direct result of both efforts.”
